Important US Vote

The Board of Directors of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Miguel de Allende (UUFSMA) urges all US citizens to exercise their right to vote in the US national elections on Tuesday, November 8.

The UUFSMA is a religious community that has operated in San Miguel for 30 years.  We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person regardless of country of origin, race, religion, economic status, disability, sex, or sexual orientation.  We believe in social and economic justice and compassion in human relations.  These values and beliefs are under attack during the current election process in the United States.  There are important moral issues involved, and seeds of bigotry, racism, hatred, and division are being sown.

The outcome of this election has serious implications for world peace and for economic and social justice.  As a nonpartisan organization, we believe in the fundamental principle that all citizens should have the right to vote, and that they should exercise this right.  Go to fvap.gov to receive information about voting abroad. The votes by US citizens living abroad could be the deciding factor in this election.

John H. Simsarian, President

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Miguel de Allende
