Jóvenes Adelante Salutes San Miguel for 24 Scholarships in 2016

Jóvenes Adelante, which grants scholarships to local honors students who otherwise could not afford to attend university and break the cycles of historic economic disparity into which they were born, had a goal of putting 15 students into university for our 15-year anniversary. This generous community helped JA not only meet that goal but exceed it, putting 24 students into university this year. Thank you, San Miguel! Here is your JA class of 2016:
Carina Córdova Ruiz is studying public accounting locally. She wants to be a great accountant.
Carlos Orlando Quintanar Rodríguez is studying finance in Queretaro. It pleases him to face challenges and be responsible for the consequences that they can bring.
Carolina Mendoza González is studying law in Querétaro. She likes to research the constitution.
Claudia Cecilia Rodríguez Valenzuela is studying mechanical engineering locally. Her greatest dream is to finish her studies and get a good job.
David Villegas Hernández is studying mechanical engineering locally. His goal is to develop or improve mechanisms for human advancement.
Elizabeth Cano Castanon is studying graphic design locally. She would love to become a great designer in advertising.
Estrella del Carmen Luna Vázquez is studying preschool education in Guanajuato. She would like to teach folk and classical dance.
Francisco Javier Zapatero Ortiz is studying mechanical engineering locally. He believes every problem has a solution.
Johann Alejandro Hernández Solís is studying digital arts in Salamanca. He wants to work for Disney or Dreamworks as an illustrator or animator before establishing his own animation studio to publish graphic novels, comics, etc.
Jonathan Emmanuel Salgado Yáñez is studying mechanical engineering locally. His goal is to be an engineer and rise to give back to his parents for the great effort they have made for him.
Kelly Pichardo Gallegos is studying industrial and manufacturing engineering in Querétaro. She hopes to travel in the future.
Leonarda Estefanía Torrecillas Gómez is studying clinical psychology in Celaya. It pleases her to listen to people and help them in order for them to feel well.
Luis Fabián Arroyo Ferreyra is studying business administration in Dolores Hidalgo. He works in the afternoons to learn business first hand.
Luis Uriel Gutiérrez Morales is studying industrial engineering in San Jose Iturbide. He hopes to give back to his community.
María del Rosario Luna Sánchez is studying mechanical engineering locally. She wants to become an engineer in order to be able to get a good job.
Miguel Alejandro Vázquez Mejía is studying agricultural engineering in Leon. He enjoys being outdoors.
Miguel Ángel Ramírez Palma is studying mechanical engineering locally. He believes math is a universal language.
Melisa Viridiana Gutiérrez Zúñiga is studying clinical psychology in Celaya. She volunteers with children and seniors and gives presentations on self-esteem.
Montserrat Rico Vargas is studying nursing and obstetrics in Celaya. She likes serving her community.
Natalia Abigail Martínez Cruz is studying nutrition locally. She wants to help people get the help they need so that they will not feel that the doors to the world are closed to them.
Rubén Gerardo Juanyuan Torres Valle is studying veterinary medicine in Léon. He hopes to travel abroad after learning English and to work with dairy cows.
Shalma Muñoz Gallegos is studying nursing and obstetrics in Celaya. She wants to work in a hospital in order to help people who are having a bad time.
Uriel Axel Silva Arrellano is studying chemical pharmaceutical biology in Querétaro. He is a volunteer firefighter and helps people with disabilities.
Yesenia Abigail Cruz Ramírez is studying international commerce in Guanajuato. She has ambitions of helping her country improve economically.
