It Takes Two to Tango

From the SPA

By Joan DiPiero

While some of our independent cats prefer going solo and would gladly retire their dancing slippers rather than being paired off with an actual cat partner, there are those few who want nothing more than to have their best friend by their side, whether it’s playing, snoozing, cuddling, or performing the feline fandango. We have three sets of siblings who would love to be adopted in twos. Consider the benefits: they keep each other company while you’re out, are emotionally more secure cats because of their strong bond and, most importantly, look so darn cute playing and sleeping together. We’re so certain that these kittens belong together that we will are willing to offer a special adoption fee for both: 600 pesos (instead of 400 pesos each). This includes vaccinations, deworming, and neutering for both kittens, of course. Coincidentally, all of these duos are black and white in different combinations and all of them arrived at the SPA in incredibly tight spaces, perhaps adding to their closeness.

Archie and Aussie were housed in a rusty birdcage when rescued, with not much room to move. Now handsome six-month-old lookalikes, these brothers will drape themselves all over you in pure ecstasy, so thrilled to have that human touch. Lafayette and Lexy, brother and sister, are about three months old, arriving after being abandoned at the bus station in a tiny tied bag. Despite missing their bus, they are happy, playful kittens. Natural comics, their looks amuse, with one featuring a mustache and one a goatee (although please never refer to Lexy as the “Bearded Lady”).

Tyra and Tasha were found in a closed cardboard box, escaping the minute the mystery box was opened and requiring capture by a couple of our volunteers. A little frightened at first, these two-month-old sisters have come a long way, learning to trust humans. They feature a hodge-podge of delightful polka dot markings to easily tell who’s who.

Please meet them at the SPA any day, Monday–Saturday, between 11am and 2pm at Los Pinos 7. Take advantage of our special offer for two—a win-win situation for you and them! The SPA’s clinic at Los Pinos 7 is open 11am–3pm, Monday–Saturday. While walk-ins are welcome, you may make an appointment for your pet at 152 6124. The clinic is ready, willing, and able to meet your needs, from conducting routine exams and providing vaccinations to diagnosing and treating medical issues with your pet, performing sterilizations, teeth cleanings, other surgeries, and providing emergency care.
