Diego Rivera and His Labyrinths

Diego y sus Laberintos (Diego Inside His Labyrinths) is a play, that shows the highlights of this famous Mexican artist’s life. It also reveals some of the most famous women he was involved with: Frida Kahlo, Maria Félix, Chavela Vargas, and even the bony La Catrina.

The play starts with Diego painting in his workshop and remembering his childhood in labyrinth-like Guanajuato. Then his memories focus on his thoughts of art, politics, god, and love.

Diego en sus Laberintos was presented by theatre group Cuentacuentos Revivos and actor Fernanda Meraz in the auditorium of Casa de la Cultura, Mesones 71, with the support of the State Institute of Culture and Traditions.
