Lamb and Mescal Festival at Hotel Real de Minas
By Jesús Aguado
The fourth annual Lamb and Mescal Festival is for the entire family. At this event the special guest—besides the attendees—is the lamb, which will be cooked by more than 20 chefs from restaurants in Celaya, Querétaro, Irapuato, and San Miguel. The organizers assured that people will be surprised by the delicious flavors and tempting aromas that will find the mouth and the wind. Mescal from Guanajuato will also be there waiting to be tasted by everybody. And wine will be available as well.
The organizers commented that it will be a family event featuring music, workshops for children, as well as a vaquillada (similar to a bullfight but with cows), and other attractions from the charrería (similar to a rodeo).
The festival will take place on Saturday, July 2, in the gardens of the Hotel Real de Minas. Tickets will be for sale at the door: 400 pesos adults and 150 pesos for children under 12. The price includes lamb and mescal tastings.
