With the sole goal of supporting the orphanage—in progress—Casa Hogar Corazón Valiente, San Miguel Angels for Education presents its 4th Annual Ventanas de Oportunidad Charity Golf Tournament, Luncheon & Silent Auction on July 2 at Ventanas de San Miguel Golf & Resort.

At this event, golfers from across the country and beyond and luncheon guests will enjoy a magnificent meal as well as a remarkable musical performance by Los Hijos de Frida, a unique world music rock band based in Mexico City. Tickets for the luncheon include all food, beverages and entertainment for 750 pesos.

Co-Director of Ventanas de Oportunidad, Naomi Lawler remarked that the main goal is to raise funds for Corazón Valiente but emphasized that it is very important that every guest has an incredible time and joins to support such noble cause. “With such a beautiful golf course, fabulous food, and unbelievable musicians performing, we know we can accomplish both goals: raising money and having fun.”

There are many ways to participate in the tournament.  Golfers can register to play for 3,500 pesos for gentlemen and $3000 pesos for ladies. Non-golfers can purchase luncheon tickets. Daniela Bribiesca, co-director of the tournament invites the local businesses to get involved with the cause by providing signature pieces or items that represent the character of their business.  “You would be surprised at the good will these donations generate for the local businesses that participate. We have been fortunate to have a diverse selection of items so there is something for everyone.” She said that on the list there are: hotel and vacation accommodations, fine paintings, restaurant and spa gift certificates, clothing, jewelry, homeware, and accessories.  The silent auction will be held from 2:30pm to 5:30pm.

About Casa Corazón Valiente, Lawler said that “the founders have an incredible dedication and vision for the children that they will support.” She also commented that the new orphanage, which is being founded on the concept of family-based community integrated care, will offer a home-like environment in the community for local abandoned girls.
