Aeromexico, First Carrier in Latin America to Join TSA PreCheck
Aeromexico recently became the first airline in Latin America authorized by the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to join the program that provides expedited screening for low risk passengers on flights from any airport in the United States to any airport in Mexico.
The benefit is available for all Aeromexico customers enrolled in a Trusted Traveler program of the US Department of Homeland Security, such as TSA PreCheck for US citizens and permanent residents, Global Entry, NEXUS and SENTRI, and to active duty military members.
Customers enrolled in any of these programs will have access to the TSA PreCheck lane and no longer have to remove shoes, 3-1-1 liquid compliant bags, laptops, light outerwear/jackets, and belts.
The service is available at all the airports Aeromexico serves in the United States, including Boston, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Fresno, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orlando, San Antonio, San Francisco, Sacramento, and Washington, DC, as well as Ontario.
Passengers with a Known Traveler Number (KTN) or enrolled in a Trusted Traveler program must enter the number when booking their flights, purchasing their tickets, or when checking in online or at the airport kiosks or check-in counters.
Once the number is entered, the KTN information is printed in the barcode on the boarding passes issued by Aeromexico along with the program logo in the upper margin and the following legend: “TSA PreCheck or TSA Pre.” Customers must verify that the indicator is printed on their boarding passes and go to the expedited security lane for the expedited screening process.
First “Clean Tourism Destination” in Mexico
Nuevo Vallarta is the first “Clean Tourism Destination,” in Mexico to receive this environmental recognition. Operated by the Banderas Bay Trust, Nuevo Vallarta was certified in a formal act that took place along with the unveiling of the plaque on May 19. This environmental quality certification was obtained thanks to compliance in the fields of integrated water management, integrated waste management, urban infrastructure, and natural resources.
Discover Scotland with Outlander
Last year settings such as Doune Castle, Blackness Castle, Highland Folk Museum, Falkland, and Culross enjoyed significant increases in visits, and the Outlander effect has played a huge part. TV audiences have been captivated by the show’s blend of stunning Scottish scenery, romance, and history, and it has encouraged them to explore Scotland.
Season two brings even more new exciting Scottish locations. A sneak preview of these includes the quaint harbor Dysart, a great location to start the journey along the scenic Fife Tourist Route and explore historic towns and the picturesque fishing villages of the East Neuk with their distinctive pan-tiled roofs and unspoiled beaches.
Air France Giving Sleep Suits to First Class Passengers
Passengers flying in private suites in Air France’s new La Première cabin will sleep even more comfortably aboard the Boeing 777 now. Air France is giving them sleep suits, which come in a felt pouch, are unisex, and are embroidered with the Air France seahorse motif. The airline said that the sleep suit is an “elegant” souvenir that passengers get to take home, where they can wear it again and again.
The luxurious new La Première suites offer complete privacy as well as wide seats that can quickly turn into flat beds and feature 24-inch TV screens to watch movies and play games.
