Involved in a Real Estate Transaction? You Can Help the SPA and It Will Cost You Nothing!
From the SPA
By Megan Gabel
There is a new way to benefit the SPA and our animals (like Spice, Tessie, Nevado, and Rusty) and it won’t cost you anything! The SPA is now a member charity of Investing In Communities, a nonprofit social enterprise. IIC’s process is the newest and best way to have a real estate transaction, making it worry-free to find just the right agent, while providing the SPA with important funding. Here’s how it works. Access the SPA’s dedicated IIC page by typing in this shortened website address: goo.gl/kYj59o. Then, use the simple form to describe your desired transaction and preferred agent profile (for example, a female pet-lover!). Within two to three business days, IIC’s experienced staff will identify and give you the choice of multiple local agents that are a match with your transaction and profile description. Brokers and agents typically rely upon referrals as a source of business and are happy to pay other brokers a referral fee. Once you choose an IIC-referred agent and the transaction is completed, the SPA will receive the lion’s share of that referral fee. IIC can also make the same arrangements with an agent you are already considering. This is a win-win situation. The agent gets your assignment, pays only a typical referral fee, and the SPA benefits. IIC has already distributed more than US$488,000.
Have you contributed to our Pet Food Money Bank yet? Last year, with this fundraiser, we raised enough money to cover our basic expense of feeding our resident animals as they wait to become part of families. That money is gone—all of it was used for food. This year, our goal is to raise 150,000 pesos or US$9,000, 100 per cent of which will be applied to the cost of food for our 100 cats and dogs plus SPA animals in foster care. Join us in our effort to reduce the stray and homeless animal population in San Miguel. See our website http://www.spasanmiguel.org/how-you-can-help/pet-food-money-bank/ for more information about the Pet Food Money Bank and how to support it and our efforts. If you have questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, call our office at 152 6124, or visit us at Los Pinos 7, any day, Monday–Saturday, 11–2. We’d love to have you stop by and meet those who would benefit from your help—our kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs need you!
