Mexico’s Latest Culinary Destination
Here is a new and notable destination foodies should keep on their radar during their next visit to Mexico City. La Table Krug, The St. Regis Mexico City’s restaurant led by Executive Chef Sylvain Desbois, is offering an 11-course culinary experience specifically designed for 12 guests. The collaboration between Möet Hennessy Mexico and The St. Regis Mexico City is meant to pay tribute to Maison Krug.
Dishes included with the culinary experience are created using ingredients such as king crab, Sologne caviar, Wagyu prime cuts, Kumamoto oysters, black truffles, and Maine lobster, along with other locally sourced products. Chef Desbois creates a new menu each week, and the experience is offered Tuesday through Saturday beginning at 8 pm, by reservation only.
Chef Desbois worked with Michelin-starred French chefs during his tenure at Le Bristol in Paris.

Family River Cruising with AMA Waterways
River cruising has been predominantly geared toward couples up to now, but the recent launch of AMA Waterways’ new riverboat AmaViola opens up river cruising to multigenerations, as does an extension of the partnership with Disney through 2017.
In partnership with Adventures by Disney, the AmaViola will embark on family-themed sailings along the Danube to Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary. Adventures by Disney has an exclusive charter on the AmaViola for seven departures this year. The Adventures by Disney sailings will be geared toward families with onboard activities such as family karaoke, movie nights, a magic show, and cooking classes.
Sister ship to the recently launched AmaStella, the AmaViola was designed to cater to groups and families traveling together with six sets of adjoining cabins that can be connected via an internal doorway, accommodating families of up to five, and four suites with convertible sofa-beds that can accommodate families of up to four.
Adventures by Disney has also announced that it will expand its river cruise program in continuing partnership with AmaWaterways through 2017, with more Danube River and new Rhine River cruises. Rhine River cruises will sail aboard the AmaKristina, launching in 2017, customized with family accommodations such as connecting cabins.
The seven-night Rhine itinerary will visit France, Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands and highlight experiences like a toboggan ride in the Black Forest, horseback riding in the Alsace Region, clog painting in Holland, and biking in Germany.
Although it’s with a different division of the company, these itineraries effectively expand Disney Cruise Line offerings from the oceans to the rivers.
