Smile, You Are in San Miguel

By Jade Arroyo

Young Mexican creative types gathered last weekend at the Bazar de Diseño Alternativo, an organization where designers and emerging artists from different parts of Mexico and the public that loves innovative choices converge.

This is an independent and itinerant organization, a fun place to enjoy art, fashion, music, and food. The best part? Everything is made domestically. This 15th edition featured several designers shown for the first time in San Miguel. There was Isabel Manhes clothing and the new collection by Etuena. For each edition, the bazaar also shows a new poster by done by a different Mexican artist and illustrator.

Join the fashion consumer movement and national design, supporting such forums for entrepreneurs. This space sells the work of more than 40 independent brands.

The concept of the bazaar began as a necessity for designers to organize themselves  to sell their products. Today it is a space for new talent to produce and show in Mexico. In order to join, designers must go through a selection process, through which quality products are sought, with a good price and made in Mexico. To learn more or get involved, you can follow their social networks: Facebook Bazar de Diseño Alternativo, Instagram bazar.diseno.alternativo.sanmiguel
