The “M” Word!

“I’ve found that luck is quite predictable. If you want more luck, take more chances. Be more active. Show up more often.”
For many of us in San Miguel, there is a real joy in making art, following our passions, and sharing our gifts. Many of us even teach classes, create an event or put on an exhibition. Some of us showcase our work on the internet or on Facebook, design a business card, or write a blog about what we do. And then we wait, wait for clients, collectors, students, and fans to come knocking on our doors in support of our endeavors. And sometimes that works out beautifully. Sometimes all we need to do is make the work—whether it be an art piece, a play, a real estate office, a yoga class—and the money starts rolling in. And sometimes it doesn’t.

Sometimes we have to sit down and develop a plan. Sometimes we actually need to Market our work. “Oh, I really don’t like that part,” many of us say. “I just like to be creative and not have to worry about the rest of it.” What is it about the M word that scares so many of us? Often, it’s not that we’re lazy or that we’re just not good at that part. For many of us, it’s likely that we either don’t know what to do, believe that we can’t afford it, or have ourselves convinced that there’s not enough time in the day.
What if there was a way to approach marketing differently? What if you could learn how to market your business with fun, empowering, affordable, and easy tools and techniques? What if you could gather together in a beautiful studio with other like-minded creatives and become inspired and excited about sharing your passion with the world?
Here’s your chance to experience all of that and more, designed to help you be more successful and have fun in the process!
Join us for a one-day workshop, “The Art of Marketing,” on Saturday, March 5, at 11am.
