By Mark O’Neill
To mark three years of concerts in support of the charity Amistad Canada, Bram Morrison is putting on two more of his hootenanny-style fundraising shows in San Miguel de Allende over the next few weeks.

Teatro Santa Ana
The Canadian actor and singer is best known as a member of the very successful children’s trio “Sharon, Lois and Bram”.
“They say that when you come to San Miguel,” where Morrison now spends most of his time, “you can become whatever you want. So, I’m here, and have given myself the opportunity to revive and grow the solo artist I started out as back in the 60s. I fell comfortably into the Pete Seeger model, singing folk songs, serious and silly, with audiences who love to sing.”
This year’s shows are Monday afternoons (February 29 and March 7), 5pm at El Teatro Santa Ana (at La Biblioteca on Reloj at Insurgentes in San Miguel.
Morrison will also be selling copies of his first solo CD “Passing Them On,” which was recorded live at one of last year’s Amistad Canada concerts.
Proceeds from both ticket and CD sales go to support Amistad Canada which, in turn, funds social development programs in and around San Miguel through local organizations such as La Biblioteca, CASA and Jóvenes Adelente. For further information, visit the website at www.AmistadCanada.org.
