Splash Around at the Warm Springs

For decades, San Miguel has been famous for its warm springs and the physical and spiritual benefits provided by them. Nothing is better to beat stress that relaxing in the thermal waters. These natural springs are located on the road to Dolores Hidalgo, just a few minutes away from town. Here are the most popular hot springs in town, offering different features.

Escondido Place

This one was large gardens where visitors could lie down and take sun baths near a couple of lakes with water lilies and fish. The current pools are in different sizes and both in the open air and covered. Some are smaller and others are large. Inside the covered pools there’s a stimulating, steamy hot water stream.


La Gruta

Literally meaning “the grotto,” this place has several pools, but the most popular one resembles a cave, where a falling hot water stream provides an intense treatment. There are also pools at the open air and spa services like massages and facials.



This one is ideal to take the children to. They will have a blast playing in the several water games and slides. There are also large green spaces for resting and picnicking or having a barbeque. Tel. 155 8330.


This warm spring has a large pool with a range of depths, so it’s perfect for swimming and exercising. There’s also a circle-like pool of hot water, a kids’ pool, and a playground. Tel. 152 9250

All locations have restaurant and bar service and dressing rooms, and most of them are open everyday (except perhaps Christmas and New Year’s). If you don’t have a car, you can take a taxi for about 120 pesos. Entrances fees vary from about 90 to 130 pesos.
