Café Santa Ana, Reloj 50, 152 7305
For book lovers and those who like to start the day with impeccably prepared organic coffee, the café at the Biblioteca is the perfect choice. The cafe is between stone walls and has a small inner courtyard if you want to sunbathe. The muffins and pastries are baked right there every morning, and there are options for very tasty Mexican and international breakfasts. On Friday morning there is a special breakfast combo, which includes cappuccino and the current issue of Atención.
After breakfast, go for a walk to parque Juárez, the lungs of the center of the city. This small French-style park, dating from the early twentieth century, is super quiet. It’s an enjoyable place to go to walk your pet.
During weekends mornings you’ll find the “Jardín del Arte,” where local painters use the benches and planters to exhibit their work. The prices are affordable and you find picturesque San Miguel scenes among the paintings.
When it comes to food, direct your feet to La Casa del Diezmo (Jesus 36) to try something different. This restaurant offers traditional Yucatecan food, like cochinita pibil and other delicacies of the area, but there are also international options for everyone. It is open for breakfast and lunch from 10 am-6pm. This place is like a little oasis in the heart of the city. It has a beautiful, peaceful garden and a very attractive environment.
At the end of the day, a glass of wine at Bar Berlin is fine way to your rambling. This place is quiet and cool, and you can sit at the bar and enjoy a good conversation. Umaran 9.
