‘A space to go if you don’t need anything and want a little bit of nothin.’
Who says there’s not a young crowd in San Miguel? In the recent times, a new group of creative people has been generating fresh and innovative artistic innovations, and injecting new energy into the local scene. La Nadería is part of this stream of new initiatives, a collaborative space led by Dutch illustrator Ruben de Haas (Coloruben), graphic designer Jon Jeffers from LA, and illustrator Brenda Jaramillo from San Miguel de Allende.
This space, inaugurated on February 13, operates as their studio, shop, and gallery to exhibit the work of resident artists and guests.
The artists want to create a fresh, fun, and constantly changing space with different exhibitions every two weeks, while offering comprehensive design services.
La Nadería team calls out to plastic and visual artists who are interested in showing with them, asking them to send their portfolios to firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the locale with a sample of their work. The space was inaugurated with an exhibition of the photographer Marcus Jolly, which will be on until March 1.
La Nadería is located in Julián Carrillo 5A, Col Guadalupe. Open Monday-Friday from 9am to 1:30 pm and 4 to 6pm, and weekends from 11am-4pm. Closed on Thursdays.
