Each month Audubon organizes a fun social event to raise money for our programs. In November it was the awesome Audubon Bird Bowl and in December the incredible SantaCon.

Audubon de Mexico Fundraising Event
Bird Bingo Game Night
Thu, Feb 4, 6:30–8:30pm
La Frontera Restaurant, Stirling Dickinson 28
This month join us for our first ever Bird Bingo Game Night on Thursday, February 4, at 6:30pm at La Frontera restaurant.

So just what is “Bird Bingo?” Well, it’s just like the bingo you know and love, except we’ve created our own Audubon Bird Bingo cards with colorful photos of our local birds. It’s our not-so-subtle way to acquaint you with our local birds and help you to get to know them by name.

Prizes include everything from gift certificates to hummingbird feeders. Your donation of 150 pesos includes 10 cards and one drink. La Frontera’s wonderful food and additional drinks will be available for purchase.

Funds raised from this event will help support Audubon’s Niños y Naturaleza and Nature in the City programs. Niños y Naturaleza is an innovative program that takes public grade school students on a journey of discovery to explore nature and the world around them through the eyes of a bird. Our goal is to empower these children to become environmental and community stewards as they develop empathy for all living things, make important connections to nature, and learn that they can make a difference in the world.

Nature in the City, another important Audubon program, promotes urban habitat through on-the-ground projects and outreach and education. The pollinator garden at Parque Juárez and the new habitat garden we are creating at El Nigromante–Bellas Artes are examples of this effort. Currently, we are working with the University of Leon School of Architecture and students, parents, and teachers at Ignacio Allende School to create a master plan for transforming their school grounds into a home for nature and wildlife and to provide an outdoor setting for hands-on learning, playing, creating, and performing that will model sustainable practices.

So get your game on, and come play Bird Bingo for fun and to support a good cause! You can reserve your seat at the table by emailing or calling 415 111 4518. Seating is limited.
