The World Through a Lens
Smile, You Are in San Miguel
By Jade Arroyo
Last Friday, January 15, Galeria Buena Vida hosted a photo exhibition and cocktail party to show the work of Greg Davis, “Los Diez Primeros Años” (The Ten First Years). He is a National Geographic creative photographer and a founding member of the Austin Center for Photography. His work has been exhibited at many museums and galleries across the US, such as the Exposure Gallery in Santa Fe and the International Art Expo in New York City. He has also been published internationally in England, the US, Papua New Guinea, and Mexico, and has works in private and institutional collections worldwide. Members of the photographic community of San Miguel, photographers, friends, and photography lovers attended the exhibition, wowed by the amazing shots done in different world cultures. Lately, San Miguel has been becoming a really alluring place for photographers who have begun to come here and create initiatives like this expo, or the POY Latam last year and photo workshops, due our incredible light quality, town beauty, and artistic community.
