Medical Evacuation: How It Works and Why You Might Need It
By Robin Loving Rowland
Living in Mexico has its benefits and its challenges, but more than anything it presents lots of grey areas that need clarification before one can have peace of mind. One of the greatest of these is how to handle one’s medical care. Can you just jump on a commercial flight home in a medical emergency? Does your US, VA, or Canadian insurance cover you here?
“Medical Evacuation: How It Works and Why You Might Need It”
Tue, Dec 1, 12:30pm
Salida a Querétaro 1
These and other questions will be answered Tuesday, December 1, at 12:30 pm, when Rotary meets at Hotel Misión, Salida a Querétaro 1, where the CEO of SkyMed International, Will Klein, and SkyMed’s Mexico Team Leader, Sarah Ash, will present “Medical Evacuation: How it Works and Why You Might Need It.” The presentation will be free and in English.
Canadian Klein has more than 25 years of medical evacuation rescue experience and holds the Order of Canada, the highest civilian honor awarded by the government of Canada. Ash will interview Klein about medical evacuations: how they work, their cost, and how they could interrelate with your existing caregivers and plans. They both will take questions from the audience.
SkyMed, the premier medical evacuation company in North America, currently evacuates an average of one person per month from San Miguel.
