San Miguel Allende to Paris, Climate Change Event

What’s happening on a worldwide level? On November 30, COP21, United Nations Climate Change Conference gathers world leaders in Paris to begin negotiating the next global climate agreement.
On Sunday, November 29, people around the world will take to the streets and encourage leaders at every level of government to commit to 100 percent clean energy. This event is part of the Global Climate Action advocated by AVAAZ.org, a global civil organization that promotes activism on climate change and human rights.
What’s happening here in San Miguel de Allende?
On Saturday, November 28, there will be educational workshops, lectures, and activities at El Sindicato, offering solutions on reducing our individual impact on climate change. Topics covered will be public transportation, water, population awareness,foods with low-carbon footprints, our own personal effect on the planet;,and how to compost, reduce, recycle, reuse, and upcycle (creative re-use).
On Sunday, November 29, in order to raise consciousness and join hands with Paris, local artists, schools, and civic groups in El Centro will enlighten the public with music, dance, and theater to express the critical urgency of our effects on climate change.
