Audubon Bird Bowl: Tournament of Champions
Green San Miguel
By Mila Villasana
Become a champion for Audubon de Mexico’s Niños y Naturaleza program by taking part in our Audubon Bird Bowl Tournament on Thursday, November 12. You don’t have to be an expert (or even a bowler) to participate in the Audubon Bird Bowl, as we have a few twists up our sleeves to level out the playing field. The tournament will consist of 12 teams of four competing for prizes (and bragging rights) beginning at 7 pm at San Miguel’s very own bowling alley, 300 Bowling and Entertainment Center, located at Plaza La Luciernaga mall.
Register your own team of four, or add your name to a team that is forming. For non-bowlers we will have additional games to play and there will be food, a complimentary drink, and lots of fun for everyone.
To receive a registration form for the Audubon Bird Bowl Tournament, email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Mila at 415 111 4518. The deadline to register is Nov 7. Proceeds from the Audubon Bird Bowl will help to purchase supplies for our Niños y Naturaleza program that connects our local youth with the wonders of nature through the eyes of a bird. This unique program provides children with in-classroom and outdoor hands-on experiences to encourage a love for all elements of nature and a commitment to care for our environment and all living things.
In 2015, our pilot year, we worked with 120 third- and fourth-grade students in four local schools. Our program received great results and positive feedback from students, parents, teachers, and the San Miguel community. With your support we can look forward to another successful school year helping young minds develop the skills and compassion needed for a better world!
