“This production of Alice in Wonderland will be enjoyed by people of all ages. We have been working on it for 20 months. The music is a mix between classical, modern, movies, and TV music. We will have the participation of 30 performers aged 7 to 17 flying on aerial silks, hoops, straps, trapezes of different kinds, a lira, and a spinning moon,” said Ana Cecilia Corona, director of the troupe.

GravityKids was born of GravityWorks circus school in 2007. There, regular classes in aerial acrobatic dance are taught with trapezes, hoops, silks, ropes, and straps. Their summer camp, Circomanía, includes different circus activities such as dance, floor gymnastics, trampoline, slack line, juggling, makeup, and other circus crafts.

“Our goal is to educate the individual in this art-sport form of new circus to develop coordination, strength, balance, discipline, flexibility, grace, and self-confidence, with the assistance of qualified instructors in a safe and adequate space,” she continued. “We always count on the invaluable support of Nisha Ferguson, director of GravityWorks, the adult performing company,” concluded Corona.

Corona has a long history of dance education, including classical, ballet, folkloric and jazz. She has performed in many parts of Mexico, including Bellas Artes in Guadalajara, and has participated in workshops and seminars of musical comedy with the American Festival of Ballet in the US. She is a member of GravityWorks. For GravityKids, she is the founder, the director, the instructor, the choreographer, and the set and costume designer. For Gravity Works School of the New Circus Arts, she is a director and instructor. For more information, contact Corona at 415 103 3836 or, and see them at
