Miguel Caréra presents “The Republican Dream” Series
Sat, Oct 10, 4-6pm
The exhibition presents the artist’s ideas about the influence of the personal ambitions the Republican politicians inside American politics, who favor their own interests and avoid great changes and achievements that might help the population but adversely affect their businesses. Each artwork in the collection presents the artist’s attempt to express the individual history of each politician. Miguel Caréra has done conceptual art to represent some of the social and political ideas of great importance in contemporary culture, touching on sensitive issues such as racism, sexual diversity, the abuse of political power, and victims of war, in order to invite the viewer to take a critical look at the role of modern art in society and the importance of it in creating new awareness to motivate the great social changes that the world needs. His art is found in prestigious private collections in several countries around the world, and he is seen by some art critics as an avant-garde and very promising artist. The artist invites the public to consider that fighting the interests of many Republican politicians has created great social changes as some of the problems in the world have been produced by them. We invite you to attend the opening of this new exhibit, which will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Galerie Miguel Caréra on Mesones 49 in Colonia Centro, inside the prestigious Ruiseñor Hotel. The exhibition will begin at 4pm with the presentation of Caréra’s video art. For more information, please visit: www.miguelcarera.com.
