A Day in the Sun

By Sandra Ríos

To take advantage of these hot days, we suggest you go to the hot springs that surround these lands of the Bajío. If you have children, one option is to take them to the Xote waterpark, wich features slides, water games, and green areas for the children to enjoy for hours. If you go with friends or as a couple, your options might be La Gruta or Escondido Place. In any of these areas, you can enjoy the benefits of the water, relaxing with thermal streams pouring on your back, and then go out into the sun and relax again.

For more info, please go to the Tourism Office in Jardín Principal 10, Centro. Information: 154 7175

Later, if you want to eat something substantial and nourishing, we recommend the burgers of La Burger, made with prime cuts of meat and cooked with South American wood. They also offer pies, organic salads, and good Chilean and Argentine wines, all served in a sophisticated atmosphere that will make you want to come back!

If you want to go out at night, we suggest you visit the restaurant-bar Cent’anni. It has a very nice menu of homemade Italian food, wood— fired pizzas, fresh pasta, meat, and fish. You can choose to eat on a terrace with a beautiful view or on the ground floor, where a DJ or band plays and you can close your day with a dance.
