Welcome to Kindle Publishing Group San Miguel!

By Sarah O’Leary

Have you written a book and self-published it on Kindle, only to wonder if anyone even sees it there? Wondering how you get those coveted five-star reviews (or any reviews at all, for that matter)? Or, are you currently writing or considering writing a book that you hope to publish on Kindle? Perhaps you’ve self-published a print book and you’d like to also get it up on Kindle so more people will discover it.

There’s so much information out there on how to publish and market a book on Kindle, it can truly make your head spin! That’s what San Miguel resident Margaret Nash discovered when she self-published her book, Rebellious Aging: A Self-help Guide for the Old Hippie at Heart, earlier this year on Kindle.

Since then Margaret has done copious research on the topic of marketing your Kindle book, and she’s ready to share this knowledge—and get ideas and support from other authors.

Margaret has teamed up with San Miguel newcomer Sarah Grace Powers (who is in the process of writing her own Kindle book) to form the Kindle Publishing Group San Miguel, a support group for both aspiring Kindle authors and those who have already self-published their books on Kindle or a similar online platform. Sarah has edited several Kindle books and has also researched and learned a great deal on how to successfully market an electronic book.

The Kindle Publishing Group San Miguel will meet on a regular basis to exchange ideas, resources, reviews, and more. Margaret and Sarah will facilitate discussions on specific topics of interest to the whole group, sharing their own expertise, as well as inviting the knowledge of all group members.

Get feedback on your title and book cover ideas, find out how to get on those “bestseller” lists in your category, brainstorm new marketing strategies, swap reviews, and much more. This group is focused on marketing and publishing your book, rather than on the actual writing of the book.

Join us for our first meeting on Tuesday, August 18, 3pm, at Juan’s Café, opposite La Biblioteca on Reloj, 50 pesos donation. Space is limited in our meeting room. Please let us know if you would like to attend so we can make sure we have enough seats: email

Let’s help each other reach author success! See you there.
