“This group is perfect for you if you want 100 percent of your donations to go directly to a local charity in your community, you don’t have time in your busy life for a consistent volunteer commitment, and you want to be part of creating a powerful new group that will make an immediate, direct, and positive impact on your community,” said Kathy Devine, one of the founders of 100 Women Who Care.

Organizations that have benefited from 100 Women Who Care include Jóvenes Adelante, the Rural Education Institute, Centro Infantil San Pablo, ALMA, PEASMA, Casa Hogar Santa Julia Don Bosco, CATIS, Casa de los Ángeles, and Mujeres en Cambio.

Devine, who formerly was a sales, marketing, and human resources executive with Bank of America, also was a founder of the Friends of the Los Angeles City Commission on the Status of Women. She is involved locally with the Literary Sala, Democrats Abroad, Shakespeare Readers, the Audubon Society, and Mujeres en Cambio, over which she presides.
