The Most Important Musical Event of the Summer

San Miguel will host the best of chamber music worldwide to captivate connoisseurs of these compositions, which are intended for a small number of performers to interpret, from July 31 until August 22. The Festival de Música de Cámera San Miguel de Allende will be held at the Angela Peralta Theater, where they will conduct all concerts. Tickets can be purchased at the offices of the Festival, on the second floor of the Bellas Artes and the theater box office.
July 31 and August 1, 7pm
Calder Quartet will present the best of the modern and traditional repertoire, with two violins, a viola, and a cello. Providing a sound infused with the freshness and boldness of youth, combined with an ever-expanding musical maturity.
August 5, 7pm
Daniel Rodríguez on piano and Daniel Rodríguez Badillo on the violin will play sonatas by Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms. After the concert there will be a cocktail at Bellas Artes; this concert ticket is required for entrance.
August 7 and 8, 7pm
The trio of Chee-Yun Kim on violin, Natasha Paremski on piano, and Wendy Sutter on cello will interpret some compositions of Halvorsen, Brahms, and Mendelssohn.
August 12, 7pm
Onix Ensamble is a prize-winning group of young Mexicans dedicated to spreading the best of the new trends of contemporary music, which fuse classical music with other styles and esthetics of the world. After the concert there will be a cocktail at Bellas Artes; this concert ticket is required for entrance.
August 14 and 15, 7pm
Parker Quartet is composed of Daniel Chong on violin, Xue Ying also on violin, Jessica Bodneren on viola, and Kee-Hyun Kim on cello. They will perform Mozart, Brahms, and Thomas Read.
August 19, 7pm
Claudio Herrera, a Mexican pianist who has performed in New York at Carnegie Hall, celebrates the bicentenary of the birth of composer Franz Liszt, and pays tribute to Frederic Chopin and to his teacher, Vlado Perlemuter. After the concert there will be a cocktail at Bellas Artes; this concert ticket is required for entrance.
August 21 and 22, 7pm
Hermitage Piano Trio consists of Misha Keylin on violin, Sergey Antonoven on cello, and Ilya Kazantsev on piano. They will perform Shostakovich, Rachmaninoff, and Arensky.
