Blue Moon Beatles Fest!
By David Garza and Roger D. Jones
Lynx Maple and Vudu Chile, along with Lifewalker Productions and Casa Angelitos, are proud to bring back the Super Beatles Tribute from years ago with a new twist, having the power and mystique of full moon and blue moon energies together at the same time!
Blue Moon Concert
Thu, Jul 30, 7:30pm
Dinner, organic beer and wine
Tickets 150 pesos reserved
200 pesos at the door
This Beatles dinner concert will offer a homemade Italian dinner, organic beer and wine, great music, and lots of dancing. At the “The Blue Moon Beatles Fest!” Lynx and Vudu Chile will put their own spin on Beatles classics while Roger, Rosana, Isa, and the rest of the family and friends whip up some awesome home-cooked food and drinks to go with the music and dancing.
If you were at the first Lifewalker event with Lynx and “What the Funk” on July 1, you know that the folks came ready to move, and move they did, dancing like banshees of joy, while Roger, Rosana, and Isa sported giant colored Afro wigs and got the folks even more pumped and pushing for more music to dance to.
Lynx will be accompanied by Julián Arcos on guitar, Javier Arcos on bass, and Yamil Almaguer on drums. Lynx and Vudu Chile know to get people up and moving; that’s been their secret formula since the beginning of the band in 2004. We groove, you move, and everybody has fun.
Casa Angelitos on Faroles 3 overlooks San Miguel with spectacular sunset views, and the dance floor is part of the overlook, so you can’t lose. Lynx and the guys will be working up special Beatles tunes just for the night of the gig. Beatle songs included this night will be “Get Back,” “Lady Madonna,” “Come Together,” “Don’t Let Me Down,” “Here Comes The Sun,” “Drive My Car,” “Yesterday,” “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” and many more favorites. If you’ve heard Vudu Chile you know that from Tony Bennett to Led Zeppelin, from Muddy Waters to The Rolling Stones, from Stevie Wonder to Stevie Ray Vaughn, and from Dr. John to Bob Marley, Lynx and Vudu Chile rock it out, reggae it up, and funk it down! We’ll be there with bells on, ready to get you to shake a tail feather through fair or fowl weather, “because it’s your thing, to shake your thang!”
The cover is 150 pesos reserved, 200 pesos at the door. Great food and drink will be available at a great price as well. Tickets are available in advance at Vía Orgánica. Tickets are limited. Call Roger for more info or reservations at 154 7448.
We’ll see you there, and if you like, dress as if It’s 1968! Remember, “All You Need is L-O-V-E” and a blue moon.
