Poet Richard Blanco Returns to San Miguel
By Susan Page
At the Writers’ Conference last February, the breathtaking keynote address by Richard Blanco, Obama’s second inaugural poet, was the talk of the entire conference. People who heard it still can’t adequately express how moved and inspired they felt upon hearing Blanco speak and having the chance to meet him. His writing and his poetry are accessible and stir the soul, even for non-poetry lovers.
