Have Some Fun

By Sandra Ríos

To start your day, we suggest breakfast at Geek & Coffee, a place with a casual atmosphere and two dining areas, one inside with a beautiful view of a small pond with ducks and another outdoor setting with a large lawn, where you may bring your pet. For breakfast, try leek quiche or a ham and gruyere cheese or cheddar cheese bagel with

Italian gourmet coffee. The store also prepares different flavored waters, like orange with ginger or strawberry with mint.

Now that you are just a few steps from Fabrica La Aurora, take a walk through the halls and visit the art galleries with their exhibitions of painting, sculpture, art objects, and photographs. You will also find shops specializing in antiques and interior design. Some artists whose galleries are located there also teach drawing or painting. You can arrange for a class or just talk with the artist and learn more about his work. This is the place!

After your tour of art, you can return to el Centro and eat something tasty and wholesome. For this we suggest Mama Mia’s terrace, which has an incredible view of the Parroquia. One of the restaurant’s specialties is pizza. Why not try the seafood pizza with a beer or a good white wine? Umarán 8, Centro. 152 2063

When finish your meal, we recommend going to Circus Underground, ordering a drink, and listening to the group of musicians playing songs covering Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and others, sung by an excellent singer. This is a place enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. Zacateros 73, Centro.
