Summer Courses for Kids in San Miguel

The library will offer summer courses from July 20 to August 14, consisting of activities such as English, computer skills, reading, origami, embroidery, clay sculpture, and crafts. They will have two hour sessions from 10 am-2pm and 4-7pm, Monday to Friday. So far the quota is filled, but you can check for possible spaces on July 22.There is also an extra summer course, taught by Integrando Mexico, from July 15 to 18. There are still places available for this extra course. To support the library and to allow us to continue these free courses summer, we ask you to donate recycled materials by taking them to the library.

Botanical Garden, El Charco del Ingenio

The summer course at Charco del Ingenio will consist of dynamic recreational programs focused on conservation, biodiversity, and environmental education. The topics are: conservation biology, cacti, arts, reptiles, birds, water culture, botanical drawing, cooking, temazcal, swimming, landart, tall stories, and much more. This course is aimed at children aged 6-10 years old and lasts from July 20 to August 7, from 9am-2pm, Monday through Friday. Registrations will be open from the second week of June and includes work materials.

El Sindicato

From July 13 to August 7, the summer course “La Hora del Recreo” will take place in El Sindicato from 9 am-2pm, Monday through Friday. It will include theater, dance, music, manual arts, and musical assembly.
The workshops are for students aged 6 to13 years, and the cost is 400 pesos per week or 1,000 pesos for the entire course. At the end of the course on August 7, the results of this workshop will be presented in the auditorium of El Sindicato.

Hotel Rosewood

“Little Picassos” is an interesting and creative summer course offered by the Hotel Rosewood, from August 8 to 13, 11 am to 1pm, Monday through Friday. The course is divided into four weeks, and students may attend one or more weeks. This course is designed to awaken the artistic skills of children between 5 and 12 years old. The cost per day is 455 pesos, or 2,273 pesos per week. There is a 10 percent discount for two weeks or more. The fee includes materials and lunch.
