An Entertaining Day

By Sandra Ríos

To start your day off, we suggest having breakfast at Ten Ten  Pie, where you can sit on the terrace and admire the scenery and watch the people passing by. We recommend the fried eggs on steak topped with salsa, beans, and chilaquiles—a full breakfast! Enjoy it with a rich cappuccino.

After an extensive breakfast, we suggest that you visit one of the most iconic places in this city, the Ignacio Ramirez “El Nigromante” Cultural Center, better known as Bellas Artes. Here you can see the work of David Alfaro Siqueiros, the great Mexican muralist, and visit the temporary exhibitions of the three art galleries as well as admire the exhibition of sculptures in the garden.

If you like to feel a little adrenaline, try the motorized delta wing flight, or ultralight—one of the most exciting activities to enjoy in San Miguel. From on high you can appreciate the rolling landscape of this beautiful land. There is also a very interesting tour heading to the Cañada de la Virgen archaeological site.

Upon your return, we suggest dinner at the Peruvian restaurant, La Parada, a cheerful and sophisticated place. Here you will find a wide variety of Peruvian ceviche. We recommend the house ceviche. It comes with white fish, mango, corn, toasted coconut, and tiger milk handle (concentrated ceviche juice). You can accompany all this with a delicious mojito Pisco, with mint, lemon, mineral water, and Peruvian mango.
