A Multidisciplinary Presentation of La Retama

By Sandra Ríos

La Retama is a cultural project born as a publishing house in Celaya in 2010. Now in San Miguel de Allende, this project promotes the visual arts with an exhibition of the work of painter Samuel Pérez Lugo. The exhibition opened on June 12 in the Buena Vida gallery. At the event, author and La Retama CEO Dante Gabriel Jiménez Muñoz Ledo presented two of his books, A mitad del Camino, a psychological novel, and Cuando Viajas, a short narrative in which the author addresses his experiences in different parts of the world where he has traveled in a surreal way. These two works will be translated into English soon. The visual arts exhibition includes “Stories of Freedom,” landscape paintings done in oil and acrylic.

Muñoz Ledo has presented several of his own books in the International Books Fair of Guadalajara for four consecutive years, as well as in Mexico City, Aguascalientes, and León.
