A Parisian style CaminArte in Parque Juárez
By Sandra Ríos
This event was born from the idea of doing something Montmartre-style, where artists can have exhibits in an open space. It was decided to locate at Parque Juárez, which has great scenery as a backdrop for the exhibitions that take place month to month. This time, however, a Special Edition will be presented in the Jardín Principal on June 20, from 10am-8pm, with a selection of visual artists who will exhibit paintings, sculpture, photography, prints, and illustration. There will be live music, rock and folk rock, a play by Vía Orgánica, mojigangas, and muralists. The trestles will be around the kiosk of the Jardín Principal and on some tables in the portales (portals) where some jewelers will display their work. About 100 artists will participate, and some of them will be producing their work during the event so people can have the opportunity to appreciate their creative processes and interact with them. Within the event there will be a fundraiser for the Red Cross and Feed the Hungry. There will also be a spot where the Biblioteca can give information on its activities and programs.
