What the blaring speakers touting various candidates’ promises didn’t tell us about is the actual process of how Mexico elects its politicians. However, Enrique Orvañanos will, when he presents at Rotary on Tuesday, June 16, at 12:30 pm at Hotel Misión, Salida a Querétaro 1. The presentation will be free.

Orvañanos will share the history of elections in Mexico and Guanajuato State, the election calendar, and the results. He is knowledgeable about these through his work with the Electoral Institute for State Deputy Elections.
A systems engineer, solution architect, project manager, and business development consultant, Orvañanos holds a master’s degree in business administration. He has worked in commercial manufacturing as well as in education and research at the university level. He has created and developed several businesses in fields as diverse as agriculture, computers, and apparel. Organizations such as IBM, UNAM, and Rotary pepper his resume.
Orvañanos currently consults for private businesses while he actively participates in community service organizations such as Water for Everyone and the Coordination Council for Entrepreneurs. His enterprises include Tierra Mágica, a sustainable development property, and SolSol, a solar solutions company.
