Liz Stone will discuss the power of personal responsibility. Do you ever think, “That is awful, but I can’t do anything about it?” We all can do something, even if it is not changing the world. If you don’t vote, you could be the one vote that made a difference. In order to have a meaningful life, try concentrating on the small things you can do. Smile at someone; it could make their day. You might also find that you get a smile in return and it makes your day brighter. Do something, no matter how inconsequential it may seem at the time. One by one, these seemingly random acts can add up to something big.  If we all give it a try, we just might begin to see a positive change. The service will blend the unique elements of both worship services while focusing on the things that each congregation has in common, such as outreach to the community and the sharing of joys and concerns. The 45-minute service begins at 9:30am and is followed by coffee and refreshments. All are welcome to stay and attend the traditional Community Church service at 11am.
