Jerry Rossing Presents His Latest Works
By Siobhan Bryne
Rossing is a renowned landscape designer, known locally for his hanging gardens, but his new work is a complete departure from the plant world; only his innate sense of design continues to be present in these new sculptural pieces. He has taken found objects made of glass, combined them with broken glass, and created assemblages that are framed and lighted from behind. They can be wall hung or can stand alone on a table or shelf. The lighting can be hand-wired for a dramatic effect or battery-powered for a softer, more romantic or subtle effect. They range in size from 12 inches square to 12 x 24 inches.
