FAI Guanajuato started operating with private and public resources 23 years ago. Thanks to the labor of the nonprofit organization, it has been recognized by the Universidad de Guanajuato. FAI is committed to the promotion and defense of children’s rights, as well as their protection against violence, providing the necessary resources for their integral development. To honor FAI’s work, the University of Guanajuato and its orchestra will offer an unparalleled spring concert directed by well-known composer José Serebrier from New York City who will attend especially for this occasion.

The musical event will feature renowned composer Cristina Spinei, who will open with the world premiere of her work Strut! before Serebrier’s Mexican premiere of the symphony 2 Partitia. The program will also include El Moscardón, Op. 97 from Shostakovich and Mussorgsky-Ravel. These musical pieces guarantee an unforgettable evening within San Francisco church.

After the concert, a cocktail will be offered to pay homage to master Serebrier and Spinei at Céntanni on calle Canal. There will be a silent auction, and FAI will make a presentation of the community cultural innovations in progress at Mineral de Pozos for the local integral development. Pre-Hispanic music by Trueno Ronco will be featured.
