Have you ever thought, “I’d love to write down my story”? Maybe you want your children to know their family history, know about your life, or record a moment, a time, an incident, a relationship. What can you remember? What has meaning? How can it be captured? In the Memory Box class you will create a memoir, using writing, drawing, painting, and/or collage. The class will work as a group to discover their stories. Are memories random? How do they fit together? How are feelings, times, relationships, journeys communicated? Each student will receive individual guidance to create his or her Memory Box, a work to treasure. Monday to Friday, March 23 to 27, 3-6pm. US$250. Info 152-2148 or (212) 737-1410. I am a New Yorker cartoonist and author and will lead this workshop. www.victoriaroberts.net.
