The Smart Space 8person conference romm, called Think Tank

Smart Space, San Miguel’s first professional work space for meetings, seminars, workshops, and co-working, has a limited time offer for nonprofits. Register your organization with the Nonprofit Resource Network ( and get free use of an eight-person meeting room for two hours with projector, whiteboard, flip chart, wi-fi Internet, coffee, tea, water, printer, scanner, copier, and a receptionist. Already completely registered there (name, purpose, contact info, address)? Great, all you have to do is reserve time at Smart Space by calling 044 415 185-8914.

“This space has been created with freelancers, startups, micro businesses, and nonprofits in mind,” said owner Stephanie Hough, and this limited-time offer is to give San Miguel nonprofits a first-hand chance to experience our comfortable meeting rooms. The offer is good through March 31 on a reservation basis. The Smart Space team knows a simple conference room experience can transform two weeks of email tag into two hours of solid face-to-face communication. So to set the stage for your next meeting, they offer discounted packages that can be used whenever you need them on a reservation basis. There is also a larger multipurpose space for gatherings of up to 60 people.

In addition to providing meeting, training, and workspaces, enrollment has begun for classes at Smart Space in Chinese, English, and app creation. Their first Ask the Experts conference gave entrepreneurs access to people such as Don Pedro to hear how to be successful at building a business in San Miguel. The Mexican-US Chamber of Commerce will sponsor monthly power breakfasts at Smart Space so that the San Miguel community can take advantage of the many business services they offer. I recently attended a nonprofit board meeting at Smart Space, and it was a professionally rewarding experience.

Smart Space is located on the Salida a Celaya 34 near the convention center, and has lockers to store one’s possessions safely, lounges for relaxing between meetings, gardens with picnic areas, and free off-street parking for office renters.
