San Miguel Etoile Performs in Mexico City
By Margaret Failoni
Not long ago, I wrote an article about Nicholas (Nico) Fallon, an incredibly gifted dancer who grew up in San Miguel and whose parents still live here and were mostly responsible for the Fabrica Aurora becoming the great art center it is today. After graduating from the renowned Delfos Danza Contemporánea in Mazatlan, Nico returned to San Miguel with Danza Viral, a dance company that he co-founded with five fellow Delfos graduates. Danza Viral has presented sold out performances in San Miguel, Queretaro, and Bogotá, Colombia. Between studies and performances, Nico has taught Lyrical Hip Hop over a seven-year period. It didn’t take long for his talent to be recognized and an invitation to join the prestigious Foramen M. Ballet Company came last October.
The Foramen M. Ballet Company in Cuernavaca was founded in 1998. The company has performed in New York, Venezuela, Korea, and many other countries. They will be performing “Requiem, Anecdotas de la Nostalgía” on Saturday, February 21, at the beautiful Teatro de la Ciudad in Mexico City.
