Celebrating Valentine’s Day
For this day of love and friendship, February 14, we give you some ideas for celebrating.
The Andanza restaurant of Casa de Sierra Nevada will have a Valentine’s menu including a green salad, three tomato soup with goat cheese pearls, basil, and tortilla chips, and a choice of two options for the main dish: tamarind salmon supreme with amaranth tabbouleh, peppers, and white balsamic vinegar; or a grilled beef filet medallion with ancho chile sauce, roasted cactus leaf, and potatoes. For dessert Andanza offers smoked chocolate mousse and crispy wild berries cake, coated in red berry coulis. A live trio will play from 7pm to 9pm. The cost is 490 pesos per person.

For those who want to go see a good show in a magical setting, we recommend attending the play Milagritos a la Orden (Small Miracles to Order), to be presented at Bodega Dos Búhos. This is a comedy in one act by the group “El Quinto Elemento,” directed by Kate Burt with a script by Norma Román Calvo. At 3pm there will be canapés and wine before the play at 4pm. Cost is 350 pesos per person.
