Do you remember having been moved by the 1978 movie Ice Castles’ theme song “Looking Through the Eyes of Love”? Do you recall moments of listening to the soundtrack of The Way We Were with your partner or picked “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” from your list of favorites to accompany a romantic dinner? If this sounds like you, come and travel back in time this February 14, and hear these and other classic tunes brought back to life by the versatile voice of Rosa Guadalupe, who will be sharing the stage with Lorelei Capell on piano in a musical program filled with romance and nostalgia to warm lovers’ hearts.

Combining their talents in celebration of Valentine’s Day, Rosa Guadalupe and Lorelei Capell will be sharing with you timeless classics such as “What a Wonderful World,” “Night and Day,” and “Love Me Tender.”
Lorelei Capell hails from Chicago, where she developed her musical career as a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. She has also taught piano at DePaul University and has performed many solo recital, orchestral, and duo piano concerts, as well as accompanist for Lyric Opera singers. She has been living in San Miguel since 2012.
Rosa Guadalupe, whom many of you will be familiar with, restarted her musical career these past few years conquering San Miguel de Allende’s public. Her varied repertory includes the 2012 performance Kurt Weill at Teatro Ángela Peralta and her most recent sold-out concert of Cuban music “Dos Gardenias… para ti” (2015).
The concert will be accompanied by classic movie scenes featuring these songs.
