Osta’s work explores his personal experiences in innovative ways, resulting in figurative paintings rich with symbols, colors, and interpretations.
The painting after which the exhibition is titled is a tongue-in-cheek commentary on high society, dinner parties, and the world of art and artists in general. One can immediately appreciate both its lighthearted originality and its technical execution.
The other paintings on exhibit are a great example of the versatility of the artist. The painting “Cosmic Dream” presents the viewer with a complex surrealistic arrangement of personal symbols that are highly open to interpretation, the balance of which reflects the artist’s mastery of his medium while alluding to fundamental aspects of the human experience, such as trust and faith.
Osta is an internationally recognized artist who has displayed his paintings in North and South America, Europe, and Asia. He is also a published author of two books. The exhibition will be one of his last in San Miguel de Allende before he takes his art to Europe for the summer. Mark your calendars as this opening is not to be missed. A closing party will also take place on Saturday February 7, from 4-6pm.
