Rodrigo de la Sierra started his sculptural career with this gallery six years ago, introducing he introduced his alter ego, Timo, to the world and has had an upward climb to success ever since. In 2014 alone he has had two museum exhibitions in Mexico City, a recent show in the XXI spaces in that city, and a major show in Korea. He has been commissioned to produce works for the Mexican Kidney Foundation, for an international film festival, and most important of all, by the United Nations for an award they presented to a group of international philanthropists. New and ever charming works are to be presented in the gallery on this occasion along with book signing for the publication of his first monograph.
After an absence of several years, New York artist Joan Hall will be showing a large series of her beautiful, surreal collages; one group dedicated to San Miguel de Allende, “Parroquian Dreams” with our own Parroquia as the starring element. More exciting and surreal elements of pageantry and magic are very much present in the accompanying larger series. Exquisitely executed, each collage is a jewel.
Founder and integral member of the gallery, the artists’ artist Santiago Corral will delight his collectors with a mini retrospective of recent and newer works created specifically for this occasion. Corral’s magnificent work and intuitive winning choices of the artists who accompany him in the artistic venture of these past six years have been totally instrumental in the gallery’s success. Corral’s superb technique is always up to challenging the viewer with a master’s vision of the world, be it his magnificent landscapes or his very intimate journey into the human psyche when presenting us with his portrait paintings, a difficult task in which only true masters succeed.
Come join the Galería Intersección Arte Contemporáneo for a cocktail celebration at the Aurora Design Center on Saturday January 17 at 5pm.
