New Year, more fun
By Jesús Aguado
Light, music and joy marked the beginning of the New Year in San Miguel. The Jardín Principal was as always the faithful witness of the arrival of a new year, where thousands of visitors and locals happily sang, danced and loudly made the countdown for receiving the new baby year.
The music was in charge of the Sonora Dinamita band, with danceable rhythms that made dance even those with two left feet.
Previous to the countdown, some people talked about their resolutions and projects for the New Year: I want to travel, I want to work harder, I want to make more money; I want a baby! Screamed a woman. Suddenly the “three, two, one Happy New Year” arrived and the people drank champagne, eat grapes, lit their sparklers and enjoyed the fireworks until “the dawn.”
