Audubon’s December birdwalk is on the 21st, the day after tomorrow. With leaders Bob Graham, Luke Rich, Norman Besman, Mike Wheatcroft, and Signe Hammer, we’ll head to El Charco del Ingenio, our beautiful botanical garden, to see wintering ducks, waders, and songbirds. With all the rain, the presa is full. We’ll look for Ring-necked and Ruddy Ducks, Green-winged Teal, Black-necked Stilts and American Avocets. In the trees, we may spot Lark Sparrows and Western (Audubon’s) Yellow-rumped Warblers as well as our own Great Kiskadee and Vermilion Flycatcher.
