New Executive Board of Los Frailes/La Cañada Association
By José Luis de la Hoz
On October 29, the residents of Los Frailes and La Cañada neighborhoods elected a new executive board during an ordinary assembly in accord with the association’s regulations. The new Board will be working in favor of common interests of the community, representing more than 1,300 homeowners who contribute significantly with property taxes to the municipality.
The newly elected executive board elected takes office until 2017. The executive board includes Elizabeth Rodríguez Lewis, president; José Luis de la Hoz Contreras, vice-president; Fátima Maldonado de Casuso, treasurer; Lucy Pérez Swab, secretary; and Rolando García López, advisor.
It was also unanimously agreed to: Include in the by-laws of “Fraccionamiento Villa de los Frailes”, the residents of “Fraccionamiento La Cañada,” and ratify the construction regulations in order to keep the colonial appearance and style of both neighborhoods.
These appointments and agreements were legally stated in the protocolization act No. 4798 issued by Attorney Silvestre Bautista López, Notario Público No. 1 of this city, and registered in the Registro Público de la Propiedad on November 12, 2014.
The residents of these two communities face big challenges and are responsible for paying dues to maintain and improve the urban image. They will also strengthen security measures to make these neighborhoods an ideal place to live.
The first protocol act agreed was to invite Mayor Mauricio Trejo Pureco to witness the taking protest to the new members of the Board at the Municipality precinct.
Congratulations to all residents, may the work and dedication of their representatives set an example for unity and community progress.
