Mujeres’ last event this year will be hosted by Alicia Franyutti, our generous friend, chef, and owner of the popular Hacienda de las Flores B&B. She will prepare one of her specialties, chicken with lentils and vegetables. A fantastic array of salads, breads, fruits, and vegetarian dishes will accompany the entree. Delectable desserts will cap off the delicious luncheon. Prior to lunch, wine will be available for those who wish to stroll the beautifully decorated gardens. Wine can also be purchased to accompany your meal.
Our special thanks to Sra. Franyutti, who has generously hosted numerous Mujeres events throughout the years. And, of course, a huge thanks to you, our members and friends, who have continuously donated your time and money to help young girls’ and women’s dreams come true. Each year, Mujeres en Cambio offers educational scholarships to 150 exceptional candidates with 95 percent of our proceeds dedicated to providing the tools necessary for them to complete their education throughout middle school, high school and college. It is with great pride that several sisters have been and are now part of our growing educational family.
Please purchase your 200 peso tickets early as our events are extremely popular and you don’t want to miss out. There will be no tickets available at the door so drop by La Conexion (Aldama or Monet Cafe) or the Biblioteca Tienda before we are sold out. Mark your calendars for Thursday, December 18 at 2pm and look forward to an especially rewarding afternoon. For more information on projects and upcoming events visit mujeresencambio.org or our Facebook page. December 18, at the lovely Hacienda de las Flores, Hospicio 16. Don’t miss it!
