Festival of Queso, Pan y Vino Was a Success

Smile, You Are in San Miguel

By Sandra Ríos

On Saturday, November 22, the third Festival Queso, Pan y Vino (Cheese, Bread, and Wine) was held at the Centro Cultural Allende with great attendance by locals and tourists. Major providers from international wine countries like France, Italy, Spain, Argentina, and Uruguay gave tastings from their wines in an area filled with the best local cheeses and national breads. In a friendly and festive atmosphere, guests enjoyed live music and free workshops offered by Instituto Allende. The ticket included a welcome kit with a plate and wine glass for tasting. Ten percent of the total ticket sale profits will be allocated to “Cultivarte,” a project of Instituto Allende and Vía Orgánica to bring art workshops and creation of organic gardens to the rural school Emiliano Zapata in the Fajardo de Bocas community.
