The International Lions Club of San Miguel de Allende is sponsoring another bargain trip, this time a shopping and sightseeing trip to Guadalajara on December17 for three days. They will be staying at the lovely De Mendoza Hotel, right behind the theater in the historic district. There will be a walking tour upon arrival and a “BYOB” cocktail party both nights. The historic district includes the Cathedral, built in 1558, the city hall, the government palace, the regional museum, the Museo de Cera, Teatro Degollado, the Palacio de Justicia, and the Instituto Cultural de Cabañas. On the second day, the bus will go to Tonalá for fabulous shopping and then to Tlaquepaque for lunch and more shopping and sightseeing. On the third day, there is an optional trip to the zoo, one of the fifth best in the world, with a great train ride through the grounds. The bus will leave for San Miguel at 4pm.
